12V Cooling Fans

Cooling fans are widely used in everyday life, the most common fan used for domestic use is your common fan designed to blow cool air out and lower the temperature of the room. These fans usually require being plugged into a plug outlet; power is then passed through the wire into the fans motor. The electricity powers the fan and spins it in a rotary fashion.

Cooling Fans do not require belts or gears to keep the fan moving at speed, they are even capable of speeding up and slowing down without gears, an increase or decrease in power will help achieve this. They all vary in price and style, they come in many different shapes, some for effectiveness and some purely for design purposes.

12V Cooling Fans are usually powered by a DC Current and not an AC Current this is because DC fans use a low voltage it doesn't have to be 12v but often is, the other volts that dc powered fans can come in are: 24 V, 12 V and 5 V.

The most typical example of this fan are computer cooling fans, these are run via the computers power supply, they help to cool all the internal components of the system, often blowing cool air onto the parts, however they can be used in an adverse manner; instead of the air being blown onto the parts, it is sucked up and blown out of the PC, these helps all the circulating air from become hot.

Multiple ones may be hooked up to one power supply and run simultaneously.
